Instructions
Run the Bulk Edit Cell Styles macro. It will prompt you for whether you want to export existing cell styles or just add new ones from a blank list. For either option, it will create a sheet called Bulk_Edit_Cell_Styles. This is where you’ll configure any new cell styles, adjust any existing cell styles, or just review the ones that exist in your file. These are the columns within the Bulk_Edit_Cell_Styles sheet you’ll want to fill in:
- Column A – Style name (required): this is the native or custom name given to a cell style in order to tell them apart and guide when to use them.
- Column B – Type (required) – either native or custom (will fill in “Native” for you automatically label any others as “Custom”.
- Column C – Style Format (required) – apply any formatting types that should be used for the style – fill color, font type/size/color, alignment, borders, and number formats.
- Column D – Add/Delete/Update (required) – for any existing cell styles (native or custom), select [DELETE] to delete them or [UPDATE] to apply any updates you’ve made. To add a new custom cell style, on a new row at the bottom, select [NEW].
