When to use it
When you have hidden columns or rows and want to quickly make them visible and also quickly be able to hide the same columns and rows again.

Why to use it

Instructions

Prerequisites
Hide the columns(s) and row(s) throughout your workbook that you’d like to be able to toggle on/off in one step.

Instructions
With the columns(s) and row(s) hidden per the prerequisites above, run the Toggle Hidden Cells macro.  It will list any hidden columns or rows across all sheets in your active workbook in a hidden sheet called Toggle_Hidden_Cells.  Run the Toggle Hidden Cells macro again to unhide all the rows and columns for the active sheet or all sheets in the active workbook.  Run it to hide the the columns and rows again.

To make any changes to the columns and rows that can be easily toggled on/off, you have two options:

Hide any columns or rows you want to be able to easily toggle to hidden or visible.  Run the Toggle Hidden Cells macro and click the Refresh button to capture the revised list of hidden columns and rows.  Note that this will overwrite the list.

Unhide the Toggle_Hidden_Cells sheet and make the changes yourself, then hide the sheet again.
