Run the Toggle Cell Tracker macro. It will add the necessary conditional formatting to the used range of the active sheet to highlight the active cell, row, and column. Run the Toggle Cell Tracker macro again to turn it off and remove the conditional formatting.
If you need to update the range to apply to (likely because you’ve added data), simply toggle it off and on again.
Note that this will add some required VBA code to the active sheet to work so that it will update each time you change the selected cell. To retain this code, save the file as a macro-enabled workbook, otherwise it will be deleted when you close the workbook. If that’s the case, it’s okay – just toggle the Toggle Cell Tracker macro off and on again to re-add the code.
