Instructions
Ensure you have an email account set up in Microsoft Outlook.
Instructions
Run the Export Outlook Emails macro. At the prompt, enter the email account you want to export emails from. The Email_Folders sheet is created in the active workbook, which lists all the email folders that currently exist in Outlook. These are the columns within the Email_Folders sheet you’ll want to fill in:
- Column C – Export? (required): enter “Yes” for any folders from which you want to export a list of emails.
- Column D – Filter Start (optional): enter the starting email receipt date and time to filter the list of exported emails. While not required, this is highly recommended to prevent the macro from running longer than desired.
- Column E – Filter End (optional): enter the ending email receipt date and time to filter the list of exported emails. While not required, this is highly recommended to prevent the macro from running longer than desired.
After determining the folders to export emails from and the optional date ranges, run the Export Outlook Emails macro again. Another sheet is created in the active workbook called Export_Outlook_Emails containing a list of emails meeting the folder and date range criteria, containing key email fields. To open an email to read, review, etc., use the Email Picker macro (default shortcut of Ctrl+o), option O to open the email with the Email ID (column J) for the row you have selected.
