Instructions

Prerequisites
Identify the goal seek sources and result targets you want to run for.

Instructions
After you have identified the goal seek sources and result targets to run for, run the Bulk Goal Seek macro.  The first time you run it, it will create a sheet called Bulk_Goal_Seek.  This is where you’ll specify the goal seek sheets, ranges, and goal values.  After filling in the values, run the Bulk Goal Seek macro again to process the contents.  These are the fields in the Bulk_Goal_Seek sheet that you’ll want to fill in:

  • Column A – Goal seek sheet (required): enter the name of the sheet containing the range to apply goal seek on.
  • Column B – Goal seek range (required) – enter the range address/name to apply goal seek on (the target/result containing a formula).  Note if entering a range name, the range name must only contain one cell.
  • Column C – Range goal value (required) – enter (or reference) the range goal value you are seeking.
  • Column D – Change sheet (required) – enter the name of the sheet containing the range to change.
  • Column E – Change range (required) – enter the range address/name to change.  Note if entering a range name, the range name must only contain one cell.
