Instructions
Prerequisites
Identify the autocorrect options you want to add, update, and/or delete.
Instructions
After you have identified the autocorrect options you want to add, update, or delete, run the Bulk Edit Autocorrect macro. The first time you run it, it will create a sheet called Bulk_Edit_Autocorrect. This is where you’ll add the items to replace, the replacement text, and the action to perform (add, update, or delete). After filling in the fields, run the Bulk Edit Autocorrect macro again to process the sheet contents. These are the fields in the Bulk_Edit_Autocorrect sheet that you’ll want to fill in:
- Column A – Text to replace (required): enter the abbreviation/shortcut (text to replace) that when entered, will be replaced by the full text in column B. Note that each abbreviation in this column must be unique. Duplicates will be highlighted in red to assist in ensuring all abbreviations are unique..
- Column B – List item (required) – enter the full text that will be entered when the abbreviation from column A is entered.
- Column C – Add/Delete (required) – to add a new autocorrect item, enter [NEW] in this column. To delete an existing autocorrect item, enter [DELETE] in this column. To update an existing autocorrect item, enter [UPDATE] in this column. If this column is left blank, the row is ignored.
