OPEN NEXT FILE

Details

What it does
Opens the next file (alphabetically) within the same parent folder as the active workbook.  It also prompts you to optionally save and close the active workbook after opening the next workbook.

When to use it
When you need to review several files within the same folder, this helps you move between them very quickly.

Why to use it
It’s a quick way to jump from one file to the next within the same folder.

From your active saved Excel file, run the Open Next File macro.  It will prompt you whether you want to open the next file (showing you the file name) – alphabetically within the same folder as the open file – and optionally whether to save and close the currently active/open file.
