This PowerPoint template lets you discuss an important topic and rank the most important items live when in presentation mode.

It’s extremely helpful during discovery sessions for consulting projects and sales.

The old way of discussing challenges by simply asking “What are your challenges?” doesn’t work for three reasons:

  • You often lose control of the conversation
  • You lose precious time to gain valuable information
  • You lose credibility by not guiding the conversation

The new way – using this template and customizing it for your particular needs – has several key benefits:

  • It helps control the conversation and avoids “rabbit holes”
  • It efficiently helps you understand their most important challenges
  • It builds credibility showing you’re familiar with their challenges
  • It opens up discussions on challenges they might be thinking about
  • It allows you to align to what’s most important to them

With this template, you can rank, re-rank, and clear the items on the screen. Include as many ranking slides as you want within your slide.

Benefits: this template makes it easy to align with stakeholders and understand their priorities, using an innovative, engaging approach.

Note that this template is a macro-enabled PowerPoint file (.pptm) – you must enable macros for the ranking functions to work. The ranking slides must be housed within this template. If you’d like to add other slides, that’s completely fine, but the ranking slides will not work if copied to a different PowerPoint file that does not contain the ranking logic code within it.
