Overview
I like to share quotes during presentations to add some insight to what I’m presenting. There’s something about them that helps people understand the importance. When it’s a well-known author, even better!
I also like to share dad jokes also as a way add some personality and to make it a little more fun. When I added those, I noticed people were a lot more engaged, which is crucial for sales-based discussions.
I started writing both quotes and dad jokes down and saving them in an Excel file (the dad-a-base lol). They quickly grew into the hundreds.
A year ago, I thought I’d start sharing these to help people start their day with a smile. I’ve shared #dailyquotesanddadjokes every day for an entire year!
I’ve enhanced the Excel file along the way to automate the process of randomly selecting them and saving the daily .png files and weekly .pdf file summaries.
Several of you have asked how I automate that, so made a video walking through it, and I created a Excel and PowerPoint templates you can download and leverage to automate similar tasks.
Check out the video below for a fun walkthrough of the template I use to automate making the pictures I share every day, and to get a copy of the Excel and PowerPoint templates you can use to automate similar tasks, you can do that here.
