Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What do you think of when you hear the word resourceful?\u00a0 The first thing that comes to mind for me is the show MacGyver.\u00a0 It ran in the 1980\u2019s, then had a reboot in the 2016-2021 years.\u00a0 My parents watched the older version, while my wife and I enjoyed the newer version.\u00a0 MacGyver is extremely skilled in science and logic, leading to some creative problem-solving skills.\u00a0 That type of thinking has stuck with me throughout the years, and I try to emulate it as I challenge the status quo.<\/p>\n

Resourcefulness means leveraging the resources you have in a way that minimizes waste.\u00a0 Too often, I see people that don\u2019t get anywhere near fully utilizing the tools and talents at their disposal \u2013 they just want to do what is comfortable, familiar, and easy.\u00a0 But that\u2019s not how we learn, it\u2019s rarely efficient, and often it\u2019s not all that effective, either.\u00a0 In this article, we\u2019ll discuss 8 habits of highly resourceful people.\u00a0 The idea is to get your mind thinking about how you can build habits that help you get the most out of the resources you have available.<\/p>\n

                  Being resourceful takes effort and intentionality.\u00a0 But it\u2019s one of those traits that people recognize and appreciate.\u00a0 It requires building useful skills and refining them \u2013 taking a step back and adapting.\u00a0 Take stock of your resources, how well you know and utilize them, and where the gaps are.\u00a0 Start with the things that frustrate you most \u2013 chances are there is a better way!<\/p>\n

                  Remember, practice makes perfect.\u00a0 While the internet is full of endless ways to learn for yourself, sometimes the most efficient and effective way to learn is surrounding yourself with other people who are resourceful or that you can collaborate with and learn together.\u00a0 This is why I\u2019m such a big fan of cohort-based learning \u2013 it makes it stick, lets us learn from diverse experiences, and fosters creativity.\u00a0 And that\u2019s what resourcefulness is all about.<\/p>\n
