What it does<\/strong><\/span>
Uses picker prompt to apply font color using options user can customize, which also work with the Toggle Font Color<\/strong> macro.<\/p>\n
Up to five colors can be customized using the Font Color Picker<\/strong> macro or the Assign Macro Defaults<\/strong>\u00a0macro.<\/p>\n
When to use it<\/strong><\/span>
Any time you want to change the font color for one or more cells using one of your five favorite\/pre-selected colors, this is is an easy way to quickly apply them or reset your favorites.<\/p>\n
Why to use it<\/strong><\/span>
It\u2019s easier and quicker than using the mouse, especially when you leverage keyboard shortcuts \u2013 it\u2019s like six shortcuts in one.<\/p>\n

Prerequisites<\/strong>
Select the cell or cells you wish to change the font color for.\u00a0 The cells do not have to be contiguous.<\/p>\n
Instructions
<\/strong>With your intended cells selected, run the Font Color Picker<\/strong> macro.\u00a0 It will present your five favorite colors with a label and the color code.\u00a0 Just enter the corresponding number (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) and click enter to run.\u00a0 That\u2019s it!<\/p>\n
Like most of the picker macros, you can set the default number to apply so you don\u2019t even have to enter the number \u2013 just the Enter key.\u00a0 Just enter your preferred default number, then click the default checkbox, and that number becomes the new default.\u00a0 To change the color options, follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n
To change the five default colors, there are two options:<\/p>\n
\n
Use the Font Color Picker<\/strong>.\n
\n
Set a cell font to the color you want to use as a favorite\/toggle.\u00a0 Run the Font Color Picker<\/strong> macro.\u00a0 The number code will be displayed with the instructions (every color has a unique color code value in Excel).<\/li>\n
In the text box, enter X, then a space, then the color text to display, then a space, then DEFAULT# where # is the corresponding picker # (1 through 5).\u00a0 Example: If the cell font color has a code of 16737843, entering \u201cX Blue DEFAULT1\u201d would set the toggle and picker value to \u201c1: 16737843-Blue\u201d and you would just enter 1 in the picker to set that color, or use the Toggle Font Color<\/strong> macro for that as the first toggle value.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
Use the Assign Macro Defaults<\/strong> macro.\n

Run the Assign Macro Defaults<\/strong> macro.\u00a0 It will take a few seconds to export all default values to a new sheet in the active workbook.<\/li>\n
Search for \u201cToggle Font Color\u201d in the newly created sheet.\u00a0 Follow the instructions in the cell comments to set one or more default font colors.<\/li>\n
Run the Assign Macro Defaults<\/strong> macro again to process the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
