files to them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>When to use it<\/strong><\/span><br>When you want to quickly send one or more meeting requests (often the type you send repetitively, such as every week, month, etc.), usually with one or more attached files, and a recurrence isn\u2019t ideal.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Why to use it<\/strong><\/span><br>It\u2019s a very quick way to create and even send meeting requests, especially with attachments.\u00a0 This is often needed when a recurrence isn\u2019t ideal because the Outlook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions<br>\n<\/strong>Run the <strong>Create Send Meeting Requests<\/strong> macro.\u00a0 The <span style=\"color: #2ca021;\"><strong>Create_Send_Meeting_Requests<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0sheet is created in the active workbook.\u00a0 Populate the required columns in this sheet, and then run the <strong>Create Send Meeting Requests<\/strong> macro again to create or send the meeting requests specified in the sheet.\u00a0 <span>These are the columns within the <span style=\"color: #2ca021;\"><strong>Create_Send_Meeting_Requests<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0sheet you\u2019ll want to fill in:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Column A \u2013 Start Date<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter the start date of the meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column B \u2013 Start Time<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter the start time of the meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column C \u2013 Duration in hours<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter the duration of the meeting in hours (enter decimals for partial hours).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column D \u2013 Reminder on\/off<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter TRUE to set a reminder, or FALSE to ignore the reminder.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column E \u2013 Reminder minutes before<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required when column D is TRUE): enter the number of minutes before the start time that the reminder should be triggered.\u00a0 If column D is FALSE, this is ignored.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column F \u2013 Subject<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter a descriptive subject for the meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column G \u2013 Location<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): enter the location for the meeting.\u00a0 Note that based on your preferences, the meeting may default to an online meeting, with the location set to Microsoft Teams.\u00a0 To change this, change your Outlook preferences: File &gt;&gt; Options &gt;&gt; Calendar &gt;&gt; Calendar options &gt;&gt; Add onine meeting to all meetings (you can also set the meeting provider).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column H \u2013 Description<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): enter any additional details about the meeting if desired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column I \u2013 Show Time As<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): select the show time as type from the drop-down list.\u00a0 Option 2 (busy) is the default.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column J \u2013 Categories<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): enter one or more categories for the meeting, separating multiple categories with a comma.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column K \u2013 Importance<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): select the importance from the drop-down list.\u00a0 Option 1 (medium\/normal) is the default.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column L \u2013 All Day<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): enter TRUE if the meeting should be set to all day (ignoring the start time and duration) or FALSE if the meeting is not all-day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column M \u2013 Create\/Send<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter Create to just create the meeting request (you can preview\/edit before sending) or enter Send to send the meeting request instantly when processed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column N \u2013 Recipients<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(required): enter one or more attendees for the meeting, separating multiple attendees with a semi-colon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Column O \u2013 Attachments<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(optional): enter the entire file path of any attachments to include with the meeting request, separating multiple attachments with a semi-colon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that often the subjects, email addresses, and attachment paths are the result of formulas, such as lookups or references to date\/location\/region inputs.\u00a0 You can likely reuse a template file in this way in future periods by just specifying a couple of inputs and letting formulas build out the new list
